My personal training studio is an exclusive, 100% private environment with everything you need to maximize results; and my training methods include contact and programming beyond our sessions to further enhance your results:

    • No waiting. My training is more effective and more intense since no time will be wasted walking around a large commercial gym floor, and you will never have to wait for a machine to free up.
    • All attention on you. There is no one to wait for, and no one to divert attention: Just you and your goals.
    • Support between sessions. I keep in contact with my clients between sessions to ensure that you are staying on track for your goals.
    • Flexibility in scheduling. With very broad hours and a flexible scheduling system, scheduling around your busy life is easy.
    • Learn while you train. I never tell my clients to do something because I “said so”, and I encourage everyone to ask questions so they understand why we do what we’re doing.

I have dedicated my life to helping others achieve their goal through a no nonsense, evidence based approach to health, fitness, and nutrition. I hold many certificates from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (Certified Personal Trainer, Fitness Nutrition Specialist, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Behavior Change Specialist) and from the Athletics and Fitness Association of America; and have won numerous awards for my work as a highly rated personal trainer.

Why do Personal Training with Brielle DeVine at DeVine Physiques?

My Qualifications as a Personal Trainer:  I’m an NASM Certified Personal Trainer, NASM Fitness Nutrition Specialist, NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist, NASM Behavior Change Specialist, and an AFAA Group Fitness Instructor.  This puts me in a unique position compared to other trainers: I can not only develop you a top quality training program, but we can also address your nutrition plan, and incorporate wellness coaching techniques to ensure we’re working past behaviors that are hindering your goals.  In addition, I also hold a current First Aid / CPR / AED card, and am in school for a degree in kinesiology.

I Never Stop Learning:  In addition to my certifications and education, I’m always learning new things.  Unlike other trainers, I maintain a current Personal Trainer certification, and that requires me to take “Continuing Education Units” every two years to demonstrate that I’m keeping myself in the personal training game.  In addition to that, I subscribe to multiple scientific journals to stay up on the latest research coming out related to health, fitness, and nutrition.

I Live What I Teach:  I train 6 – 7 days per week myself, and everything I have my clients do are things I do for myself.  I am not one of those personal trainers that has their own training plan separate from what they have their clients do–  I believe in my methods, and have utilized them to realize my strength and physique goals.

I Don’t Sell You Any Products:  There are personal trainers out there that will try and sell you into one of their MLM shake and supplement schemes.  I am not one of them.  One of my first clients put it best in her Yelp review:  “This is not ‘Garcinia Cambogia’ or some miracle weight-loss protein shake.  [Brielle] is honest and will not sell you any products.  [Her] training style is doing the work.  This means exercising and minding what food you put in your mouth.”  – Trisha P.

I Won’t Sell You “Sexy Answers:”  I am honest personal trainer that is dedicated to an evidence based approach.  A lot of people are looking for the “sexy answer” when seeking a trainer, which usually means insane results that are unattainable in the amount of time they want them.  I will always be honest with what is possible, and I give all of my clients a program that will get them to their goals as quick as possible.

Personal Training is My Career:  Personal Training is not a hobby for me–  It is my career.  I do this full time, and devote myself to my clients and their goals.

I’m Honest and Personal:  When I first began my career as a personal trainer, I knew I wanted to set myself apart with my personality.  I am very honest with my clients, including discussing my past struggles with binge eating disorder (and current struggles with body dysmorphia disorder and gender dysphoria), and work to build an honest, supportive, open environment.  Because of this, I end up with close personal connections with my clients, which explains why I’ve been invited to their weddings, graduations, and baby showers.

I Create a Welcoming Environment:  I work hard to create a welcoming, encouraging environment for all of my clients free of judgement.  I don’t prescribe “Girl Push Ups,” I prescribe “Knee Push Ups.”  I never come down on my clients for anything, and I’m not a drill instructor; my job is to come up with solutions to any issues that are standing in the way, not to yell at my clients.

I Can Train Clients with Health and Special Considerations:  I have worked with clients that have injuries (such as sciatica), major postural imbalances (such as severe upper cross syndrome with scoliosis), pregnancy / postpartum, and varying limitations (including a deaf client, missing cartilage in the knees, etc.).  Through all of this, I’ve been able craft effective training plans for all of my clients, and have enjoyed the experience working with a diverse group of clients.

I Train at DeVine Physiques:  I own my private personal training studio in Sherman Oaks on Ventura Boulevard called DeVine Physiques.  It’s a 100% private facility where it’s just you and I working toward your goals.

I Use the DeVine Physiques Smartphone App:  Have you worked with a personal trainer in the past that wasn’t sure what workouts you had done before; or what weight you squatted last week; or lost your progress photos?  That won’t happen when you train with me.  I have a Smartphone App that I use to plan and track your workouts; to track all of your body stats and progress photos; and to deliver workouts for you to do on your own.  This builds a great history that allows us to look back all the way to the beginning of your training to see how far you’ve progressed in terms of strength, change in body composition, and consistency.

DeVine Physiques is an LGBTQ Friendly Business:  As a transgender lesbian, I’m a member of the LGBTQ community and have experience working with transgender clients (both transmasc and transfem).  Additionally, under the banner of my business, DeVine Physiques,  I donate to LGBTQ causes and have competed in the charity deadlifting event Pull for Pride along with some of my clients.

I Make Training Fun and Competitive:  I’ve developed a “game” that I refer to as “Player One – Start!”  It’s a culmination of challenges, strength standards, and mini games that are equated into a score (like a video game) so that my clients can anonymously compete with one another for the top spot!  Below are some links related to this:
